About Us

Bar-T was established over thirty-five years ago as Bar-T Ranch, a small day camp for boys and girls in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Today, that small day camp has developed into one of the most popular camps in Maryland, serving over four hundred fifty campers each day. Bar-T has grown as a company and now provides a variety of year-round programs to area kids and their families. We currently run day camps for ages entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our Ranch, Mountainside, and Kids Camp programs start to hire enthusiastic role models during late winter to begin assembling their team for the upcoming summer. Kids Camp operates in many Montgomery County Public Schools and utilizes local pools and attractions to provide campers with unique day camp experiences.


During the school year, Bar-T Kids club and 2:40 Club offer elementary and middle school kids and their families safe, fun and stimulating Before and After School Programs in over thirty Montgomery County Public Schools, making us the largest child care provider in the area. A sports program, monthly clubs, exciting field trips and more ensure that our programs are anything but ordinary child care. Our Pre-K Program employs teachers with Early Childhood degrees. Our program, with its creative curriculum, is designed to provide a high quality, hands-on, child centered learning environment for children who are 4 years old.
