Notes from Nancy: February 2013
Dear Bar-T Family,
This is one of my favorite times of year and, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I just wanted to express my gratitude for each and every one of you. We are privileged to be able to care for your children and be a part of your lives.
I also would like to acknowledge our wonderful team here at Bar-T. We take gre at pride in our team and are always finding new ways to add opportunities for them to learn and grow, both as employees and members of our communities. Every month we recognize team members who go above and beyond the call of duty with an award called the “Sunsational Award.” Not only do managers nominate their team members, but any employee can nominate a colleague who excels in different areas of their role. This program is new this school year and we have already awarded over 40 Sunsational Awards this year (and will be awarding another 13 at the end of this month)! This is one of my favorite times of year and, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I just wanted to express my gratitude for each and every one of you. We are privileged to be able to care for your children and be a part of your lives.
We recently hosted a Parent Council meeting at the Main Office. I’d like to thank the parents that attended this meeting and provided us with valuable feedback about their Bar-T experience this year. One of the suggestions was that I include a feedback survey in each of my monthly emails to you. I loved this idea and you can click here to take the short survey. Any feedback that you provide us with through these surveys is much appreciated. We will be hosting Parent Council meetings with more frequency and I look forward to seeing more of you at these meetings.
A few weeks ago, I wrote you a letter and asked you to sign a letter to the County Executive and County Council about the Childcare Rebid Process.
Along with other local childcare providers, Bar-T is encouraging the County Council to approve a regulation that puts the important decision of who will be caring for children back into the hands of school principals and parents.
If you have not done so already, I invite you to sign this letter and make your voice heard on this important issue.
As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about our programs. I appreciate any feedback you have and enjoy hearing from you.
Reprinted from the monthly newsletter sent to our Bar-T community on February 15, 2013. If you have a child enrolled in one of our programs and did not receive this email, please email Rory at email@example.com to be added to the mailing list.
