The Riding Camp at Waredaca

Riding Camp FAQ

Designed for boys and girls entering 2nd grade and above, this program combines Bar-T's reputation for excellence with over 70 years of equestrian camp experience.

At Riding Camp, your child will be supervised by a staff of trained professionals that emphasize safety, fun, and skill development.  Staff will accompany campers through a wide variety of both equestrian and adventure activities.

Equestrian activities include English style instruction in the arenas and on the trails.  Other instruction may include conformation of horses, games on horseback, bareback riding and more.  In addition, kids will have the opportunity to participate in stable crafts which focus on the care and treatment of horses.

In the afternoons, kids will walk down into the woods to enjoy time on Bar-T's Challenge Course.  Qualified staff will help kids travel the Zip Line, fly on our Giant Swing and successfully tackle our 40 foot Climbing Wall.  Afterwards, campers can cool off lakeside, enjoying swimming, canoeing and our water trampoline.

Each one week session will conclude with Presentation Day.  Parents and family members are invited to join us as campers showcase the teamwork and skills developed during camp.

Enrollment is limited to 30 campers per week so we encourage you to register quickly.
