Our Bar-T Kids Club program is the largest private provider of before and after school programs for children in Montgomery County. We strongly believe that children need to have choices, and we provide a variety of opportunities for children each day. At Bar-T Kids Club we allow our children to choose which clubs, games, sports leagues, and special events they would most enjoy. Our MCPS Kids Club programs open at 6:30 am and close at 6:30 pm. Our Kids Club program at The Charles E Smith Jewish Day School opens at school dismissal time and closes at 6:30, except Friday. Please refer to the calendar on the CESJDS section of our website for Friday closing times.
Clubs
Children are able to select which clubs they wish to participate in each month. These can range from cooking, to dance, to magic. Our staff do their best to make sure a variety of options are given, and that the children in our care are able to choose the one that most intrigues them.
Homework
Homework time is held each day except Friday, and our expert staff are present with whatever knowledge and supplies your child needs to complete their work. We keep an open dialogue between teachers and parents to make sure each child's academic needs are being met each day.
Sports Leagues
Children have the option to learn new sports and compete against other schools in our sports leagues. Our great coaches will teach the basics of each sport to all children who enroll. Each team hosts home games and visits other schools for away games. Featured sports include football, cheerleading, and basketball.
2:40 Club
Our 2:40 club is specially tailored towards middle school students. We offer the same great staff and care, while crafting activities and events which are more appealing towards our older students. 2:40 Club opens at dismissal time and closes at 6:30 pm.
We recognize the need for structure and guidelines for adolescents after school and are dedicated to providing activities that teens will want to be a part of. In partnership with the school, parents, and Bar-T staff, our goal is to involve as many teens as possible to participate in this exciting and unique opportunity.
