STEM: Bar-T Builders (Architecture)

Pull out the blueprints and hardhats because this week we will be exploring the science of architecture! Get ready to design your very best bridges, buildings, and other structures and put them to the test! Not only will we learn the functions of certain structures, but we’ll also explore the importance of designs that impact how we think and feel!

STEM – Bar-T Builders (Architecture) Camp will be held at both the Ranch and Mountainside during the week of July 1st – 5th. DISCOUNTED WEEK: This week is a 4-day week (no camp on Thursday, July 4th). The rate for our 4-day week of STEM Camp is $450. For campers who are signed up for 5 or more weeks at any Ranch or Mountainside Bar-T camp, the weekly rate will drop to $370. 

While our outstanding counselors ensure that there is no limit to the fun with a continuously evolving list of activities, we know that it can be helpful to see the types of activities that make up our camper’s days. These activities include, but are not limited to:

Bar-T Mountainside and Bar-T Ranch were farms where we built summer camps from the ground up. Bar-T Mountainside, located in Urbana just minutes from I-270, and Bar-T Ranch, a spacious 12-acre farm located in Laytonsville, are two of the best summer camp facilities in Maryland.

Bar-T provides bus transportation to and from camp each day for an additional fee of $50 per week. A Bar-T staff member meets our families at each of our transportation sites and rides the bus to and from camp to help ensure our camper’s safety. Bar-T staff will arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled bus departure to check our campers in and answer any questions parents may have. We ask that our parents remain on site until after the bus has departed to help ensure everyone’s safety. Our staff will help make sure that our campers reach their group with a smile on their face each morning and will remain at the transportation site each afternoon until all campers have been picked up.

For families that need coverage beyond the camp day, we offer extended care options at Ranch, Mountainside, Kids Camps, and select sites that allow campers to arrive as early as 7am and stay as late as 6:30pm. This extended care option is offered on a weekly basis and families can choose morning extended care ($60) and/or afternoon extended care ($80). Campers who attend extended care will not be charged a transportation fee.
